Benjamin Andrew Stokes is an England international cricketer and currently the vice-captain of the England Test team. Stokes was a part of England squad that won the ICC cricket world cup 2019.

Ben Stokes born in Christchurch, Newzealand, stokes moved to northern England with his parents at the age of 12.Where he learned the game and began playing club cricket for local teams. He is an all-rounder and bowls right-arm medium-fast and bats left-handed. An attacking middle-order batsman, he holds the record of England’s fastest Test double century, the fastest ever test match 250, and the highest ever score for a Test batsman batting at number 6. Moreover, he also holds the record for the most runs scored by an individual batsman in the morning session of the Test match. Stokes becomes the highest-paid-overseas player in the history of the Indian Premier League in 2017, fetching a record contract of 2,166,604$, he won the most valuable player award during the session.

Clare is stoked’ childhood sweetheart. The couple got engaged back in 2013 before tying the knot in October 2017. Their wedding was held at East Brent, Somerset. A host of stokes’ England team-mates were in attendance including the likes of Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, and Eion Morgan.

The couples are parents of two children. Son Leyton was their first child, who was born in 2002, while sister Libby was born in 2015. The family lives together in Durham, where stokes play county cricket. The England cricket star has admitted that starting a family forced him to mature quickly and make a few lifestyle changes.

“It has changed me being a dad because when you have a baby and you are only 22, that brings a lot of responsibilities with it,” stokes told the Daily Mail in 2013.

In April 2019 he was named in the England squad for the 2019 Cricket world cup.

He made 89 runs off just 79 balls, claimed two wickets,run-out by Dwaine Pretorius and took two catches to be declared as the “Man of the match”.His catch to dismiss Andile Phehplukwayo has been described as “one of the greatest catches of all-time”.In the final against Newzealand, he scores 84* runs, including two sixes in the final over to tie the game. He then battled in the super over with Jos Buttler, which again was a tie. But England won the match on the boundary countback rule. Therefore, he was named the “Man of the match “ second time in the tournament.
